I'm Sorry . . .

My second picture with weird dark lighting that I've submitted this week. Hmm.

Well, this one started out as artist's block and sort of blossomed into the backstory behind one of my Warriors OCs. Autumnhaze's parents were from two different Clans, and they managed to keep their love a secret quite well. But shortly after the mother, Featherstep, became pregnant, the father, Eagletalon, was hit by a Twoleg monster and killed. Featherstep then gave birth to a single kitten . . . who, to her dismay, looked just like his father. She knew that her forbidden romance couldn't stay secret for long, and, wanting to honor Eagletalon's memory, the only option was to leave her kitten in his father's Clan. And, one night, this she did. Little Autumnkit was taken in the next day and given to another queen, and when several days passed and no one from his old Clan came to claim him, he became a full member of his new one. Although Featherstep always feared having to one day face her son in battle, she never had to face this fear, for Autumnhaze grew up to be a medicine cat.

*Cricket noises* Ahem. Well, this picture shows Featherstep carrying Autumnkit into his father's Clan. Before I get buried under a pile of comments asking which Clans are shown, I'll explain that these are two fan Clans, PuddleClan and LeafClan. Featherstep is a PuddleClan warrior and Eagletalon was from LeafClan; Autumnhaze is LeafClan's medicine cat.
